Konsep pemodelan data geofisika, konsep forward modeling dan inverse modeling, teori dasar inversi linier kuadrat-terkecil, inversi linier berbobot dan inversi linier ter-redam, inversi non-linier dengan pendekatan linier (linearized), konsep inversi non-linier dengan pendekatan global, systematic/grid search, random search, metoda Monte-Carlo, konsep guided random search, metoda simulated annealing, metoda algoritma genetika, interpretasi obyektif dan subyektif dari probabilitas, representasi informasi menggunakan konsep probabilitas, permasalahan inversi sebagai integrasi informasi yang tersedia, inversi dengan pendekatan Bayes, resolusi inversi dengan pendekatan probabilistik. |

Memberikan landasan teori dan konsep pemodelan geofisika menggunakan metoda inversi linier dan non-linier, serta implementasi / penerapannya pada pemodelan data geofisika khususnya untuk keperluan geofisika eksplorasi. |

Mahasiswa diharapkan mampu melakukan pemodelan data geofisika menggunakan pendekatan inversi, baik untuk kasus linier maupun non-linier. |
