Review teori pembangkitan pasang surut (pasut) laut, pasut setimbang dan potensial pasut, pasut di lautan dalam – terbuka dan paparan benua, hidrodinamika gelombang panjang, dinamika pasut perairan dalam, pasut di samudera Pasifik, pasut di samudera India, pasut di samudera Atlantik, pasut internal: teori pembangkitan dan dinamikanya, dinamika pasut perairan dangkal, pasut di perairan Indonesia, dinamika pasut di teluk, dan dinamika pasut di estuari: interaksi pasut – aliran sungai dan proses percampuran massa air.
Review of the tidal generating theory and tidal data analysis, equilibrium tide and tidal potential, tide in the deep – open ocean and continental margin, the long wave hydrodynamics, tidal dynamics in the deep ocean, tide in the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans, the internal tide: the generating theory of internal tide and its wave dynamics, tidal dynamics in the shallow waters, tide in the Indonesian waters, tidal dynamics in the bays, and tidal dynamics in the estuary: tide – river flow interaction and mixing process of water mass.

Goals
Tujuan: Memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa tentang pengetahuan dinamika pasang surut (pasut) laut di lautan terbuka dan perairan dangkal: perairan pantai, teluk dan estuari, dan tentang dinamika pasut di wilayah perairan Indonesia.

Goals: To give students to understand about the theory of tidal dynamics in the deep – open ocean and shallow waters: the coastal waters, bay, and estuary, and the tidal dynamics in the Indonesian waters.

Luaran
Outcomes
Luaran: Mahasiswa mampu menggunakan pengetahuan dinamika pasang surut (pasut) untuk melakukan penelitian kelautan dan penerapannya bagi bermacam – macam keperluan yang berhubungan dengan aktifitas di laut.

Outcomes: The students have capability to use their knowledge of the tidal dynamics theory for oceanographic research and its applications for various marine affairs.
